Appointments
Please bring valid ID and insurance cards to your appointment. Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to allow time for registration. Registration documents can be found on MyChart along with any exam related questionnaire.
Insurance Coverage
We are in network with most major commercial insurance plans as well as Medicare. The most common are Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Humana. To confirm your plan is in network, please call us at 662-772-4615
Billing
Please note that you will receive more than one bill for services rendered. Physicians are independent of the clinic and therefore bill for their services separately. Click below to pay the bill for your exam.
Exam Preparation Information
Please review all exam preparation information before any exam at MidSouth Imaging Center. Our clinic features private dressing rooms with lockers to secure your belongings.
MRI
- Patients should notify the technologist of any electronic devices or implants you may have (some implants and devices may not be able to undergo MRI scanning).
- Patients with pacemakers will not be able to undergo MRI scanning at this facility.
- For your comfort and relaxation, we provide headphones so that you can listen to your favorite music, pillows, and blankets to keep you cozy and warm.
- If your physician has prescribed any anti-anxiety medications to relax prior to your exam, we ask that you bring a driver for your safety. Your technologist will go over instructions on when to take the medication in coordination with the time of your exam.
CT Scan
- Pelvic exams utilizing IV contrast: Patients should have creatinine lab testing performed within the past 14 days. If unavailable, lab values can be obtained the day of exam at the imaging center. Patients must have nothing to eat or drink two hours prior to their exam.
- Calcium Scoring: Patients should have no caffeine or nicotine products four hours prior to their exam.
Ultrasound
- Abdomen, Gallbladder, Liver, Pancreas, Renal Doppler, SMA/Celiac Doppler Exams: Patients should have nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to exam.
- Pelvic and bladder w/PVR exams: Patients should drink 32 ounces of water one hour prior to their exam to fill their bladder. Patients should not empty their bladders until the exam is completed.
- Renal Exams: Patients should be well hydrated and drink plenty of water before the exam. Patients may empty their bladders prior to the exam.
Fluoroscopy
- Arthrogram, hip injection and shoulder injection exams: Call our office for specific instructions for prescribed medications.
- Upper GI: Patients should have nothing to eat or drink eight hours prior to their exam.
Patient Results
Your diagnostic test results will allow referring providers to determine your course of treatment and care. Test results are typically available in your MyChart account for you and your provider to review within 24-48 hours. Many providers plan scheduled time to discuss your results with you. If you have not received your results, please check with your provider’s office to see when they will be available to review the information with you.
